About Unalaskans Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence
Unalaskans Against Sexual Assault & Family Violence (Usasv) is a domestic shelter and non-profit organization that provides services related to family violence prevention and assisting victims of family violence. Usasv has received multiple federal grant subawards to provide temporary refuge, recovery, supportive services, and other shelter support services to victims of family violence.
Through federal grant subawards, Usasv has provided domestic shelter services, including temporary housing and related assistance to victims of family violence and their dependents. Additionally, Usasv has delivered recovery and supportive services to victims, as well as more general family violence prevention services. These federal subawards have been sponsored by the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association Inc. as the prime grantee. The grants appear to fund Usasv's core domestic shelter and victim assistance mission. By receiving federal grant funding as a subawardee, Usasv is able to continue serving vulnerable populations affected by family violence in its community.
