About the company
Town of Narragansett, registered as Narragansett School System, is a U.S. local government municipality and school district. Through federal grants, Narragansett School System provides special education, early intervention services, and emergency COVID-19 relief for elementary and secondary schools.
As a subrecipient, Narragansett School System has been awarded multiple federal grants from the Rhode Island Department of Education to support special education services and early intervention for students ages 3-21 with disabilities. Additional subawards provided COVID-19 relief funds for elementary and secondary schools, addressing the pandemic's impact on education. The prime awards likely originated from major U.S. Department of Education programs like the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) special education grants and the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). Narragansett School System's role encompasses direct special education and student support services, as well as channeling emergency aid towards pandemic impacts on local schools.
