About the company
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is a not-for-profit policy research organization focused on energy, environment, and sustainable development. TERI provides technical assistance, research, analysis, and other services to support international development projects funded by U.S. federal agencies.
Through prime and subcontract awards, TERI has provided methane reduction consulting and biogas sector development services in support of EPA-funded projects in India. As a subcontractor to prime contractors ABT Associates Inc. and Battelle Memorial Institute, TERI offered specialized expertise in biogas and renewable energy to implement clean energy and emissions reduction activities overseas.
Through prime and subawards under USAID's Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program and the Department of State's Public Diplomacy Programs, TERI conducted technical assistance, training programs, and scientific research to advance environmental sustainability, ocean conservation, and agricultural productivity objectives. This included an $130,000 education and research grant from the Department of State focused on vulnerable ocean resources and a $394,000 USAID grant funding TERI's development of a sensor-controlled riverbank filtration and rainwater irrigation system. Under a subaward from The Asia Foundation, TERI also provided renewable energy consulting services.
