About Spelman College

Spelman College is a private, historically black liberal arts college for women located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in 1881 as the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary and is the oldest historically black college for women in the United States. It is a member of the Atlanta University Center Consortium.
