Seminole Nation Division Of Commerce

The Seminole Nation Division of Commerce is a corporate entity registered with the U.S. federal government to receive contract and grant awards. As a tribally owned firm and self-certified small disadvantaged business, it provides a range of services to federal agencies, with a focus on community development, social services, and tribal governance programs. The Division of Commerce serves as the economic development arm of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, working to improve the quality of life for tribal members through various federally funded initiatives.

While there is limited information available about specific federal contract awards, the Seminole Nation Division of Commerce likely provides goods and services related to tribal administration, community infrastructure, and economic development projects. As a tribally owned entity, it may leverage its status to compete for set-aside contracts designated for Native American-owned businesses. The Division of Commerce's corporate structure and small disadvantaged business certification suggest it has the capacity to serve as both a prime contractor and subcontractor on federal projects, though details on specific contract awards are not provided in the available information.

The Seminole Nation Division of Commerce has received numerous federal grant awards across a wide range of programs. Major areas of grant funding include child care and development, with multi-million dollar awards from the Child Care and Development Block Grant program to support child care services and facility construction. The Division also administers grants for energy assistance, community services, family violence prevention, and elder care through various Administration for Children and Families programs. Other significant grant awards support historic preservation, language revitalization, public transit operations, and broadband infrastructure deployment. The Division often serves as a sub-awardee, working in partnership with other Seminole Nation entities to implement grant-funded programs that benefit tribal members and the broader community in areas such as Oklahoma City and Seminole County, Oklahoma.
