Rim Of The World Unified School District

Rim of World Unified School District, registered as a U.S. local government entity and school district in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) since December 2009, primarily provides educational services to its community. As a recipient of federal grant awards, the district engages in programs aimed at improving school security, enhancing educational outcomes, and supporting special education initiatives. The district's involvement in federal grant programs demonstrates its commitment to leveraging federal resources to enhance the quality of education and safety for its students.

Through its federal grant awards, Rim of World Unified School District has been involved in a diverse range of educational and safety-oriented projects. Most notably, the district received a $500,000 project grant from the Department of Justice's Community Oriented Policing Services Office in October 2022 to implement evidence-based programs focused on improving school security and fostering a positive learning environment. This three-year grant, set to conclude in September 2025, supports the district's efforts to enhance safety at schools and on school grounds through school safety programs and technology. Additionally, the district has been awarded several sub-grants through the California Department of Education, focusing on various educational objectives. These include improving teaching and learning in high-poverty schools, providing special education and related services to children with disabilities (including those aged 3-5), and enhancing teacher and principal quality to increase student academic achievement. These sub-grants demonstrate the district's engagement in comprehensive educational improvement efforts across multiple domains, from general education to specialized support for students with disabilities.
