About the company
Option House, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been serving survivors of domestic violence since 1977 by providing 24-hour crisis intervention, shelter, transitional housing, outreach services, legal services, and education. Through federal grant sub-awards, Option House delivers comprehensive support services to domestic violence victims and their children, including emergency shelter, counseling, court accompaniment and advocacy.
The federal sub-awards to Option House have been provided through the California Office of Emergency Services, in order to prevent interpersonal violence, prioritize underserved populations, and build capacity of local organizations. Specifically, Option House has received federal funding to create pilot domestic violence-specific rapid rehousing programs to provide immediate safety and housing for victims, as well as ongoing supportive services. Additional federal sub-awards have enabled Option House to continue delivering its core services to domestic violence victims and their families, including crisis response, emergency shelter, counseling programs, legal aid, and general advocacy.
