About the company
Mountain Island Day Community Charter School, doing business as Mountain Island Day School, is a K-12 charter school located in north Charlotte that provides a comprehensive academic program for students from kindergarten to 12th grade, with a curriculum focused on core subjects such as math, science, English, and social studies. As a U.S. local government entity and school district, it is registered to receive federal awards.
Through federal grant sub-awards, Mountain Island Day Community Charter School has received funding from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction under the CRRSA ESSER III and CRRSA ESSER II programs. These sub-awards are likely related to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER), which was established as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide emergency relief funds to address the impact of COVID-19 on elementary and secondary schools. The multiple ESSER II and ESSER III sub-awards suggest that Mountain Island Day School has received funding to support its operations and address challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
