Mosaica, Religion, Society And State

Mosaica, Religion, Society And State is an international non-profit organization based in Israel. It appears to focus on promoting conflict resolution, understanding, and cooperation between different ethnic and religious communities in Israel, particularly among young people.

The organization has received several grants from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs to carry out programs aimed at cultivating conflict resolution skills and preventing tension and violence between Arab and Jewish communities in Israel. A $180,118 cooperative agreement in 2022-2023 funded training and educational programs to develop conflict resolution abilities among young Arab and Jewish Israelis. Another $20,000 grant in 2022 supported efforts to prevent escalation of tension and violence in mixed cities and municipalities during the convergence of Ramadan, Easter, and Passover. A $20,040 grant in 2019-2020 aimed to strengthen partnerships between key stakeholders in mixed cities and provide tools and knowledge for self-sustainability. The grants indicate Mosaica works to build understanding and cooperation through initiatives involving youth, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building, with a focus on mixed Arab and Jewish communities in Israel. Its projects align with U.S. foreign policy objectives around promoting peace and stability in the region.
