About the company
Minnesota Alliance With Youth is a non-profit organization focused on youth development in Minnesota. Through federal grants, they provide programs and services aimed at improving high school graduation rates and connecting youth to resources to support their success.
Specifically, Minnesota Alliance With Youth has received federal subawards to deploy AmeriCorps members to implement dropout prevention strategies, such as monitoring attendance, academic work completion and engagement of students grades 6-12. They have partnered with ServeMinnesota and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety on awards providing mentoring and service-learning opportunities to improve school attendance and engagement. Additionally, they have worked with schools and community organizations on programs where AmeriCorps members track attendance, behaviors and academic growth of youth at risk of dropping out. The goal is to connect these students to caring adults and resources to keep them on track to high school completion.
