About the company
Intrahealth Namibia Division (IHN) is a non-profit international organization based in Namibia that supports the Government of Namibia's efforts toward person-centered service delivery in HIV prevention, case identification, treatment linkage, and continuity. IHN has worked extensively as a key partner of the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) since 2014 to strengthen and bolster the Ministry of Health and Social Services' initiatives in achieving the 95-95-95 HIV epidemic control targets.
IHN has served as the prime recipient on several major federal cooperative agreements from U.S. agencies like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USAID, and others related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment in Namibia. A recent $4.7 million CDC award aims to accelerate Namibia's capacity to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS services to achieve epidemic control targets by strengthening HIV case finding, linkage to care, continuity of services, quality management, maternal/child health, prevention services, strategic information systems, and human resources for health. Under a separate $4.5 million USAID award for the REACH II program, IHN is rapidly scaling up innovative strategies to strengthen the continuum of HIV care for youth. Other efforts include being a sub-awardee providing technical assistance on adolescent/youth-friendly HIV services, gender-based violence support, impact mitigation, and health informatics/data system strengthening under initiatives like DREAMS and KP-STAR implemented by prime recipients Project HOPE Namibia, IntraHealth International, and Palladium International.
