About the company
Hollywood Police Activities League, doing business as Hollywood Police Activities, is a community-based crime prevention program that provides recreational, educational, athletic, and fine arts programs to at-risk youth as positive alternatives to gang and drug involvement. Through federal grants, Hollywood Police Activities provides mentoring, counseling, and other services to opioid-affected youth and other at-risk populations.
Specifically, Hollywood Police Activities has received subawards from the National Association of Police Athletic/Activities Leagues to provide small group mentoring programs focusing on improving police-youth relations and increasing self-esteem and commitment to school and community among at-risk youth aged 8-17. Services target victimized youth, those abusing opioids, delinquent youth, and victims of bullying. Additional federal funding supports expanded mentoring and counseling for opioid-affected youth. These federal grants provide youth development, delinquency prevention, and drug control services.
