About Governor's Institute
Governor's Institute On Substance Abuse is a non-profit organization focused on improving prevention, treatment, and recovery of substance use disorders in North Carolina through partnerships across the state. As a prime federal grantee, Governor's Institute On Substance Abuse has received two recent project grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, including $1.5 million to expand medication-assisted treatment capacity by providing education and training for advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants, as well as build school capacity to support these activities.
