Additional Department of Justice mentoring subawards have focused services on motivational interviewing to improve healthy habits and pro-social decision-making; building trust and empowering caregivers impacted by incarceration and substance abuse; helping youth and families access drug and alcohol prevention resources; improving youth engagement with law enforcement; and strengthening mentor training, monitoring and support systems.
