About the company
Diesel Driving Academy Inc. is a private, for-profit educational institution registered to receive federal awards since May 2000. It appears to be a vocational school focused on training students for careers in the transportation industry.
Through two recent CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund formula grants from the Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education, Diesel Driving Academy received a total of $158,043 in 2020. One grant for $79,021 ran from June 2020 through June 2021, while the other grant for $79,022 covered May 2020 through May 2021. These funds likely provided emergency financial aid for students and supported institutional costs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Diesel Driving Academy received a sub-award from Louisiana Delta Community College to train 16 students for the transportation industry and employ at least 14 of them upon completion of the program. This points to Diesel Driving Academy's core mission of providing vocational training, potentially including commercial truck driving courses, to prepare students for jobs in transportation fields.
