About the company
Community Campus Partnerships For Health (CCPH) is a nonprofit organization that promotes health equity and social justice through partnerships between communities and academic institutions. CCPH has been working towards this mission for 25 years, and its overarching aim is to increase the capacity of academics and community leaders to be fully engaged in authentic partnerships to advance health equity.
Through federal grant awards, CCPH has provided expertise and services related to community engagement, recruitment, and implementation of community engagement toolkits. In one project, CCPH supported Duke University as a sub-awardee, facilitating community engagement and recruitment efforts, and assisting with the implementation of a community engagement toolkit. CCPH leveraged its existing networks to identify local partners, lead engagement and dissemination efforts, distribute tests, gauge community partner and participant satisfaction, facilitate protocol implementation, and evaluate the toolkit's utility. In another project with Michigan State University, CCPH's Executive Director, Al Richmond, served as an expert in community and patient engagement, leading initiatives to facilitate patient engagement, enhance culturally appropriate research, and convene stakeholders. Additionally, CCPH has collaborated with Duke University as a sub-awardee in coordinating engagement science across up to 60 diverse research programs and the Social, Ethical, and Behavioral Implications (SEBI) Program, integrating engagement principles within various domains, assisting with community and health system engagement, and developing community-scientific advisory boards.
