About the company

The Salvation Army Women & Children's Center (WCC) is a nonprofit organization providing domestic violence and homelessness services. Through federal grants, WCC offers emergency shelter, violence prevention education, supportive services, case management, and housing assistance to victims of domestic violence and chronic homelessness.

WCC has received federal subawards to provide emergency shelter, supportive services, and transitional housing specifically for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, and family violence. These services have been funded through federal grants from the Indiana Judiciary Courts, the City of Indianapolis, and VOCA supplemental funding in response to COVID-19. As a subrecipient, WCC partners with the Indiana Judiciary Courts and the City of Indianapolis to provide crisis intervention, individualized case management, trauma-informed care, housing advocacy, child services, and other resources to survivors of violence and homelessness. Recently during the pandemic, WCC continued offering infection control services and linguistically/culturally competent support to vulnerable populations affected by both COVID-19 and domestic violence.
