NCFI Facility Expansion Grant Program
This Notice of Funding Opportunity from the Department of Homeland Security announces a grant to renovate and expand the existing National Computer Forensics Institute facility in Hoover, Alabama. Up to $21.85 million is available for construction of three 35-person classrooms, a 250-person auditorium, and twenty administrative offices to increase the facility's student training capacity to over 8,000 annually. Applicants must be the City of Hoover which owns the existing NCFI facility. Applications are due through Grants.gov by January 31, 2024 and will be evaluated based on the ability to meet the objective of expanding the NCFI's training capacity. The projected value of the awarded grant is $21,850,000.00 to be utilized over a three year period of performance from March 1, 2024 through February 28, 2027. The sole place of performance for the renovation and expansion work will be the existing National Computer Forensics Institute facility located in Hoover, Alabama.
