The Corporation for National and Community Service is awarding grants under the AmeriCorps Commission Investment Fund (CFDA 94.008) to expand the capacity of State Service Commissions and Alternative Administrative Entities, with the most recent awards issued on September 10, 2025.

This program funds training and technical assistance activities that strengthen commission staffing and staff development in priority performance areas, training events, and collaborative activities designed to forge new partnerships or develop skills producing demonstrable improvements within the one-year grant period. Eligible applicants are limited to State Service Commissions only. Awards typically carry project periods of three or more years with no required non-federal match.

Combined federal dollars obligated total $82.9 million across 160 awards since 2016. The Corporation for National and Community Service Office of Grants Management is the sole funding source, accounting for all 160 awards and the full federal obligated amount. The assistance-type mix is predominantly Project Grants (89 percent of awards) with a smaller share of Formula Grants (11 percent).
