The award period runs from September 30, 2021 through September 29, 2022. The funding supports Oklahoma's planning and implementation of the new Section 9813 state plan option for community-based mobile crisis intervention services available to Medicaid recipients. The state planning grants are intended to support states in developing infrastructure and resources for qualifying community-based mobile crisis services as an alternative to emergency room and inpatient care for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority will utilize the award to advance Oklahoma's crisis response system and expand access to community-based mobile crisis services through the Medicaid program.
