About this program

The Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration funds infrastructure training grants under CFDA 93.503 to strengthen nursing assistant and home health aide training programs, with the most recent award issued on September 30, 2010.

This program is inactive. No grant awards have been disbursed in the past 16 years. The portfolio contains only six awards, all issued on a single date in September 2010, with no evidence of subsequent funding activity or open grant opportunities. The program's last funding cycle occurred in fiscal year 2010.

The program supports infrastructure projects that enhance the capacity of nursing and home health aide training programs, enabling individuals to enter these positions and progress along the nursing career ladder. Eligible applicants can offer training on-campus, at alternate sites, or through distance education.

All six awards were Project Grants structured as infrastructure investments. The Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration was the sole funder, obligating $4.1 million total across the six awards. Individual grant magnitudes ranged from approximately $539 thousand to $840 thousand, with a median award around $685 thousand. Representative awards included Project Grant T51HP20698 for $840,245, Project Grant T51HP20702 for $721,996, and Project Grant T51HP20700 for $678,804, all completed between 2013 and 2014.

Given the 16-year hiatus in funding activity with no recent opportunities posted and no signal of program reactivation in the source material, pursuit of this Assistance Listing is not advisable under current conditions.
