The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN) received a $105,619 cooperative agreement award from the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology under the Strengthening the Technical Advancement & Readiness of Public Health via Health Information Exchange Program (CFDA 93.462). The award will support MiHIN's efforts to strengthen and expand the ability of Health Information Exchanges in Detroit to support public health agencies through January 13, 2022. Specifically, MiHIN will work to enhance referrals between providers and public health entities in Detroit via the Michigan Health Information Network. The funding will aid in technical advancements and readiness improvements to the state's health information exchange platform to better serve the Detroit public health community.
