The Department of Energy awarded a $3,000,000 Cooperative Agreement to the National Association for State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) to provide training, technical assistance, and resources to Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) grantees. The primary objectives are to: 1) collect and disseminate best practices for implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding within WAP operations and workforce initiatives; 2) develop grantee tools to assist with ongoing BIL WAP operations and sustainability; 3) provide remote and on-site training and technical support to state WAP staff; and 4) deliver direct training and technical assistance to improve WAP grantee operations as needed. This award, which runs from November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2026, is part of the Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance for Low-Income Persons program (CFDA 81.042) to enhance home energy efficiency for low-income families.
