The Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality will receive $200,000 through a Project Grant awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program and Related Assistance (CFDA 66.608). THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD TO ENHANCE ITS TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES AND CAPACITY TO USE AND SUPPORT THE EXCHANGE NETWORK (EN). EN IS AN INTERNET AND STANDARDS-BASED, SECURE INFORMATION NETWORK, THAT FACILITATES THE ELECTRONIC COLLECTION, EXCHANGE, AND INTEGRATION OF THE FULL RANGE OF DATA THAT INFORMS THE BUSINESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. THE EN AND THIS PROJECT WILL ULTIMATELY STREAMLINE AND MODERNIZE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PROCESSES AND DATA COLLECTION AND REPORTING. THIS IN TURN WILL IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY, EFFECTIVENESS, AND EASE OF EXCHANGING ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION WITHIN ORGANIZATIONS, WITH THE REGULATED COMMUNITY, THE PUBLIC OR BETWEEN CO-REGULATORS WHICH IS KEY TO SUCCESSFUL ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT.SPECIFICALLY, THE PROJECT'S WORK SEEKS TO DESIGN A DATA BRIDGE FOR THE TEXAS LOANS AND GRANTS TRACKING SYSTEM (LGTS); DEVELOP DATA BRIDGE FOR TEXAS LGTS; TEST AND IMPLEMENT THE DATA BRIDGE; AND REUSE TECHNOLOGY FOR PARTNER STATES.

FY2020 National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program
The EPA Exchange Network Grant Program is soliciting project applications using the Environmental Information Exchange Network (EN) to:Facilitate sharing of environmental data, especially through shared and reusable services.Streamline data collection and exchanges to improve its timeliness for decision making.Increase the quality and access to environmental data through discovery, publishing, outbound and analytical services so it is more useful to environmental managers. Develop foundational EN shared services to reduce burden and avoid costs for co-regulators and the regulated community. Expand and improve participation in the EN by strengthening the requisite information management and technology capabilities for interested parties to fully participate in the EN. Section I-E of the funding opportunity announcement summarizes the priorities and associated activities eligible for funding through the FY 2020 EN Grant Program competitive grant process.

Fiscal Year 2013 National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program
The Exchange Network Grant Program provides funding to states, tribes, inter-tribal consortia and territories to develop and implement the information technology and information management capabilities they need to actively participate in the Exchange Network. This grant program supports the exchange of environmental data and collaborative work within the Exchange Network. Grantees may also use grant funds for the standardization, exchange and integration of geospatial information to support work to preserve and improve the environment, natural resources, and human health.

FY 2016 National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program
The Exchange Network Grant Program provides funding for projects that develop the Network and enable timely, on-demand access to environmental data through innovative technologies, improved support systems, and expanded collaboration using shared tools and services. In FY 2016, the Exchange Network Grant Program continues to focus on implementing Phase 2 of the EN as described in the priorities section (I-E). Additionally, EPA encourages applicants to propose projects that align with the principles of E-Enterprise for the Environment. E-Enterprise is a joint initiative among EPA, states, and tribes to integrate and streamline the way government protects the environment and human health.
