About this program

The Small Business Administration operates the Small Business Teaming Pilot Program (CFDA 59.060) to fund training, counseling, and mentoring activities that help teams of small business concerns enhance their ability to compete for larger procurement contracts. However, this program has not disbursed grant awards since September 30, 2011—over fifteen years ago. No recent grant opportunities have been posted, and no current solicitations are open.

The portfolio consists of 11 total awards issued in fiscal 2011, split evenly between Cooperative Agreements (6 awards, 55 percent) and Project Grants (5 awards, 45 percent). The Small Business Administration was the sole funding agency, obligating $9.3 million in federal dollars across the awards, with recipients contributing an additional $2.2 million in non-federal matching funds for a combined total of $11.5 million. Representative awards from the 2011 cycle include a $1.9 million Project Grant (SBAHQ11J0007) and a $1.2 million Cooperative Agreement (SBAHQ11J0012), both focused on teaming pilot program delivery and completion by 2013–2014.

Award magnitudes ranged from approximately $754 thousand to $1.9 million on the federal side. The program appears inactive as a current funding vehicle. Organizations should not pursue this listing unless SBA signals a reactivation or new solicitation, which has not occurred since the 2011 awards.
