Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorships are ineligible. Project periods run 12 to 18 months. The most recent open opportunity (OFH-2600-DC-021A, due November 2, 2026) solicits applications for general education and outreach components and a national media campaign component; national awards under this opportunity are structured as cooperative agreements requiring substantial HUD oversight, while most regional and local awards are grants.
