The County of Kitsap received a $20.3 million project grant award from the Department of Defense Washington Headquarters Service Office of Economic Adjustment to replace the Bangor Keyport force main. Funded through the Community Investment federal grant program (CFDA 12.600), the award will support replacement of critical wastewater infrastructure from September 2021 through August 2023. The Community Investment program aims to provide assistance authorized by statute to address needs such as maintaining and improving essential public works and facilities. This sizeable award will enable needed upgrades to the force main to protect public health and support continued regional economic activity in and around Bangor and Keyport, Washington over the next two years.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation was awarded a $5.7 million Project Grant from the Department of Defense Washington Headquarters Service Office of Economic Adjustment. The grant falls under the Community Investment federal grant program (CFDA 12.600) and will fund the Strategic Defense Highway Resiliency Improvement Project from September 1, 2022 through March 31, 2027.
