Crop Protection and Pest Management Competitive Grants Program
The Crop Protection and Pest Management Competitive Grants Program, administered by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, seeks applications to address high-priority pest management issues using integrated pest management (IPM) approaches. The program aims to develop innovative, sustainable IPM technologies and strategies across three components: Applied Research and Development Program (ARDP), Extension Implementation Program (EIP), and Regional Coordination Program (RCP). For fiscal year 2025, the agency will only accept competitive applications for the ARDP, with projects focused on plant protection tools, agricultural biosecurity, and sustainable communities. Eligible applicants include colleges, universities, 1994 Institutions, and Hispanic-serving agricultural colleges. Applications are due March 6, 2025. The total funding available for new ARDP grants is approximately $2.45 million, with individual awards ranging from $200,000 to $325,000. Projects require dollar-for-dollar matching funds and must be performed at the awardee institutions across various U.S. states to address IPM priorities at the state, regional, and national levels.
