About this opportunity

The Maine Department of Administrative Services, Division of Purchases, is requesting a quotation for a single zero-turn mower for Camden Hills State Park, with quotes due October 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time.

The mower must be commercial-grade with a minimum 31 horsepower diesel engine, liquid-cooled, paired with a 60-inch fabricated commercial mowing deck with side-discharge capability. Required features include an installed striping kit, minimum forward speed of 10.5 miles per hour, shaft-drive power take-off, and hydraulic deck lift. Vendors must submit descriptive literature of the proposed mower model as part of their quotation response.

Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value to the State, with evaluation considering quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be factored into the low-bid determination; discounts under 20 days will not be considered. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine sales and use taxes; quotes should exclude these taxes. All transportation charges, including freight and express costs, must be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The Division reserves the right to award on an item-by-item basis, reject any or all quotes, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10%.

Questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted through the Question and Answer portal on the solicitation website, with responses posted in the same location for vendor access. No Purchase Order or master agreement may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent from the Director.
