About this opportunity
The City of Austin is issuing an Invitation for Quotation (IFQ) for Zebra thermal receipt paper intended for use with Brazos enforcement devices operated by the City's Parking Enterprise Department. This is a rebid of solicitation JJC1010, which was reissued due to incorrect item descriptions in the original posting. The procurement seeks two product options: Zebra Z-Select 4000d 3.2 Mil Thermal Receipt Paper (3" x 64' rolls, 36 rolls per case, OEM Part Number 10023347) in an estimated quantity of 120 boxes, and Zebra Direct Thermal 3.2 mil Receipt Paper (4" x 81.25' rolls, OEM Part LDR4KN5B) in an estimated quantity of 5 boxes. Both products must be direct thermal, top-coated paper labels in white with matte finish and non-perforated format. Qualified contractors must demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience supplying Zebra thermal receipt paper to agencies of similar size and scope and must be authorized dealers or resellers of the specified products. Delivery must occur within thirty calendar days of order placement to the Transportation and Public Works Department at 1111 Rio Grande, Austin, TX 78701-2015, during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Quotes are due on March 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and should be submitted via email to Andre Colbert at andre.colbert@austintexas.gov. Award will be made to the lowest responsive offer meeting all stated qualifications and specifications, and the City reserves the right to request samples within ten working days for compliance verification.
The City of Austin initially distributes solicitation notices to certified HUBS or M/WBE vendors through the State of Texas and City of Austin; however, if adequate quotes are not received, the solicitation will be posted online at the City's Austin Finance Online website with notice sent to all registered vendors for applicable commodity codes. All pricing must be submitted on an FOB Destination basis with all freight charges and handling costs included in the item price; the City is exempt from federal excise and state sales tax and requires that tax not be included in quoted prices. Offerors must provide lead time in business days for each item and clearly identify company name and delivery method on the completed price sheet. Payment will be made within thirty days of receipt of properly documented invoices, contingent upon satisfactory delivery of goods. No specific funding amounts, contract duration guarantees, incumbent vendors, or award values are detailed in the solicitation documents. Invoices may be submitted electronically to TPWAccountsPayable@austintexas.gov or mailed to the City of Austin Department Transportation and Public Works, P.O. Box 1088, Austin, TX 78767, with Andre Colbert serving as Contract Manager and Vanessa Faulkner as Project Manager.
