About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is requesting bids on an X-Ray tube for XRF spectrometer equipment under IFB 601440000053804, with responses due November 3, 2026. The procurement requires furnish and installation of a single palladium-anode X-ray tube designed for a Rigaku Supermini200 WDXRF Analyzer. The preferred specification is Rigaku Part Number 1012434; equivalent products meeting or exceeding specified performance characteristics are acceptable if supported by equivalency and compatibility documentation.
The tube must feature an end-window palladium target, 200-watt power rating, maximum voltage of 50 kilovolts, maximum current of 4.0 milliamps, and air-cooled operation. Full compatibility with the existing Rigaku Supermini 200 WDXRF Spectrometer (Asset ID XF00474, Internal ID BE67000122-01) is mandatory. Bidders must provide manufacturer name, brand, model, part number, unit price, lead time in days, and total cost. Vendors proposing equivalent products must include warranty information and supporting compatibility documentation.
Responses require completion of multiple mandatory compliance forms: the Execution of Bid form (IFB No. 601440000053804), which certifies accuracy, anti-trust and anti-collusion compliance, and various state and federal regulatory obligations; and the Texas Family Code Schedule form (Solicitation No. 601440000053804), which requires names and Social Security numbers of all individuals or business entities holding at least twenty-five percent ownership interest. Failure to submit either form renders the response non-responsive.
Bid evaluation criteria include preferences for Texas-resident bidders, Texas-produced supplies and materials, USA-produced goods, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, economically disadvantaged area products, environmentally sensitive materials, energy-efficient products, and recycled materials. Bid prices must remain firm for the period specified in the solicitation.
TxDOT utilizes the Euna Procurement website (formerly Bonfire) for vendor registration and posting. Respondents must monitor the TxDOT Procurement Portal at https://txdot.bonfirehub.com/ for addendums, questions and answers, and changes. Inquiries may be directed to Mathew Hopkins, CTCD, at mathew.hopkins@txdot.gov or 832-589-2077.
