About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting bids for work/driver gloves, thermal lined, in assorted sizes, with bids due October 16, 2008. Bidders must submit a completed Code of Conduct Affidavit via facsimile to Sue Garcia at 207-287-6578 by bid opening, certifying compliance with Maine's purchasing code of conduct, including wage, health, labor, environmental, and safety laws applicable to the bidder and all suppliers at the point of assembly.
The scope covers approximately 450 to 500 pairs of thermal-lined leather work driver gloves in slip-on cuff design with keystone pattern, top grain cowhide, and beige color. The specification references Industrial Supply Co. Style #00071332 or approved equivalent. Sizes required are small (1–50 pairs), medium (1–100 pairs), large (1–200 pairs), X-large (1–200 pairs), and XX-large (1–200 pairs), with majority anticipated in large and X-large.
Bidders must submit pricing through the AdvantageME platform; bids submitted outside this platform are invalid. All specifications listed represent minimum requirements. The State reserves discretionary authority to accept or reject bids that do not meet specifications, to consider approved equivalents as determined by the State, and to award based on the State's best interests.
An authorized company representative must sign the Code of Conduct Affidavit before a notary public, providing complete documentation of all physical plant locations where goods are manufactured, including facility names, street addresses, cities, states, countries, and telephone numbers. Bidders must affirm under penalty of perjury that they have furnished a copy of the State's purchasing code of conduct to each supplier and received written affirmation of compliance, and must certify compliance with prohibitions on discrimination, forced labor, child labor, involuntary prison labor, and physical or sexual abuse.
