About this opportunity

The State of Idaho Division of Purchasing, on behalf of the Idaho Transportation Department, is requesting bids for three work zone safety trucks under ITB 1449, with bids due November 9, 2026 and a non-mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled at an unspecified date.

The scope comprises three vehicles: one Ford F-550 or equal 18,000 GVWR single-axle truck with 12-foot flatbed and work baskets (Item 1); one Ford F-650 or equal 26,000 GVWR single-axle truck with 18-foot flatbed and work baskets (Item 2); and one Ford F-650 or equal 26,000 GVWR single-axle truck with hook lift system and 18-foot flatbed (Item 3). All trucks must be equipped with warning lights, work lights, safety lights, video recording systems with four cameras, message boards, and specified accessories. Technical compliance includes welding to AWS D1.1-25, electrical installation standards, hydraulic system specifications, alignment requirements, and paint/finish standards. Unit prices are required for all three items; bids omitting pricing for any item will be deemed non-responsive.

The successful contractor must deliver all trucks within 365 days after receipt of order to ITD Headquarters in Boise, Idaho. The contractor bears all delivery costs, fuel, and setup expenses. Warranty coverage includes one year general warranty plus extended chassis and drivetrain warranties (three years/36,000 miles basic; five years/60,000 miles drivetrain). Warranty documentation and an acceptance letter regarding special warranty provisions must accompany the bid response.

Award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest total extended cost. All bids must be submitted electronically through the IPRO eProcurement system with completed Submittal Form A (Background, Declarations, and Certifications) and Submittal Form B (Bid Schedule) in Microsoft Excel format. The State reserves the right to request Best and Final Offers and conduct clarification discussions to verify bid compliance. Questions are due by a deadline specified in the procurement schedule.
