About this opportunity

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is requesting bids on one new aluminum work boat/landing craft (model year 2025 or newer) and one bunk trailer (model year 2025 or newer) for Schodack Island State Park, with bids due September 24, 2026.

The boat will support park operations at Schodack Island State Park, a 1,052-acre site spanning portions of Rensselaer, Greene, and Columbia counties along approximately seven miles of Hudson River and Schodack Creek shoreline. The park is designated a State Estuary and includes a Bird Conservation Area. The boat will transport staff, equipment, and materials including UTVs, tractors with brush mowers, and small tractor-loaders, and will handle seasonal dock installation and removal.

Connor Industries was awarded an identical or substantially similar contract within the past five years and is therefore ineligible under New York's prior-award restriction.

The full IFB package, amendments, and responses to questions are available on OPRHP's Procurement Opportunities page at https://parks.ny.gov/business/procurement-opportunities.aspx. No estimated contract value, evaluation criteria, or procurement timeline beyond the September 24 due date is specified in the source material.

Opportunity text

OPRHP is seeking to purchase one (1) new aluminum Work Boat/Landing Craft (Boat) model year 2025, or newer, and one (1) Bunk Trailer (Trailer) model year 2025, or newer. Schodack Island State Park sits off the eastern shore of the Hudson River just south of Albany. Approximately seven miles of the Hudson River and Schodack Creek shoreline bound the 1,052-acre site that spans portions of Rensselaer, Greene, and Columbia counties. The park has been designated a State Estuary, and a portion of the park shelters a Bird Conservation Area (BCA) that is home to bald eagles, cerulean warblers and blue herons that nest in the cottonwood trees, as well as eight miles of multi-use trails that wind through a variety of ecological communities. In addition, the park has 66 campsites, a bike trail, a kayak/canoe launch and a boat launch. During the winter months the park offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The boat will be used for moving staff, equipment, and materials such as UTVs, tractors with a brush mower, and a small tractor-loader, while also handling the installation and removal of seasonal docks. The IFB package can be located and downloaded from OPRHP's Procurment Opportunities page. Bids, amendments (if applicable), as well as any responses to questions as they become available, can also be found here. https://parks.ny.gov/business/procurement-opportunities.aspx Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: Connor Industries
