About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, is requesting quotations for thirty Class 4, 35-foot Penta treated Southern yellow pine utility poles, with quotations due March 8, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time through AdvantageME/Vendor Self Service.
The State reserves the right to negotiate purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months following award. Deliveries are expected at MaineDOT, 121 Leighton Road, Augusta, Maine. The selected bidder must provide a minimum of two business days' notification prior to delivery and bear all responsibility for goods until delivery to the State's location under FOB Destination terms, meaning all shipping charges must be included in the quoted price.
Quotations will be evaluated on a best-value basis considering qualities of goods, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and the best interest of the State. Once goods are determined to conform to specifications, award will be made to the lowest-priced bidder. Delivery date after receipt of order may be factored into the bid award decision, and the items are immediately needed.
Bidders must submit a wet-signed or electronically-signed Appendix A Bid Cover Page and Debarment Form, an audit report if electronically signed, and a quote on company letterhead detailing compliance with all specifications. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes on articles not for resale, and quotations should exclude these taxes. No guaranteed award is associated with this opportunity; all purchases depend on bid results and departmental budget availability. The State reserves the right to deny award to bidders with documented poor performance or terminated or non-renewed contracts within the past five years. All submissions become public records following the award announcement, and bid pricing and quotations remain valid and binding for 180 days from the bid opening date.
