About this opportunity
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is requesting bids on solid wood chairs for Denton State Supported Living Center under IFB HHS0017524, with bids due July 6, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Central Time. Questions and clarifications were due June 26, 2026, with responses posted as an addendum the same day.
The scope calls for 100 Classic Solid Wood Side Chairs (Model #05009 or HHS-approved equal) and 75 Classic Solid Wood Arm Chairs (Model #05007 or HHS-approved equal), each measuring 21 inches length by 20 inches width by 31 inches height in natural color finish. Side chairs weigh 22 pounds and arm chairs weigh 23 pounds. Bidders offering items other than the specified models must provide product literature or risk non-consideration.
Pricing must be firm and fixed for the life of the contract, submitted on Exhibit C using either F.O.B. Destination (freight prepaid and included in unit price) or itemized delivery costs shown separately. Default delivery is 14 days after receipt of order unless otherwise specified; bidders must provide an estimated delivery date. Price adjustments are not automatic and may be approved at HHSC's sole discretion only if correlated to the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers or All Urban Consumers, or if requested based on Federal Minimum Wage Rate increases with supporting documentation from the U.S. Department of Labor.
The initial contract term extends through August 31, 2026, with an anticipated start date of July 15, 2026. HHSC retains the option to extend for up to one additional year. Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services are entitled to use any resulting contract. Award will be made to the bidder offering best value based on meeting or exceeding specifications, ability to meet delivery requirements, and price. Historically Underutilized Business subcontracting plans are encouraged but not required. Bidders may be rejected based on unfavorable past performance reports, current corrective action plans, repeated negative performance reports, non-responsiveness to performance issues, or contract cancellations within the previous 12 months for non-performance. The contract carries no guaranteed volume and is subject to appropriations and availability of funds.
