About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has issued a procurement opportunity for a "WINDOW, OPR CAB, LEFT HAND" with solicitation number 2097538. The contract opportunity is located in Dallas County, Texas, and requires potential vendors to register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details. The procurement appears to be for a specific window component, likely for transit vehicle infrastructure, with precise technical specifications to be found in the full bid documentation. Critical procurement timeline dates include a posting date of January 15, 2026, and a response deadline of January 22, 2026. Vendors must adhere to strict delivery terms, with time and delivery rates considered essential to the contract; failure to meet these specifications could result in rejection and potential default termination. Submission requirements mandate that all bids reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs integrated into the overall pricing, and DART will not accept alternative shipping arrangements. Invoicing must follow specific guidelines, including submission to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate with comprehensive documentation of purchase order details.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly outlined in the provided documentation, DART's standard procurement practices typically involve standard commercial bidding processes. Payment terms are clearly defined as Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of either the invoice or order, whichever occurs later. The procurement is governed by Texas state law, with Dallas County designated as the venue for any potential disputes. Vendors must comply with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which include provisions for commercial warranties, inspection protocols, and compliance requirements. The document indicates standard equal employment opportunity clauses and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott restrictions. While specific award values are not mentioned, the procurement appears to be for a specific transit vehicle component, suggesting a targeted, potentially modest-scale procurement. Interested vendors must carefully review the full terms and conditions, particularly the detailed Purchase Order Terms and Conditions PDF, to ensure complete understanding of contractual expectations and submission requirements.
