About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting quotes for welding gases and accessories under a term contract, RFQ 26-0209R/RR (re-bid), with questions due November 18, 2026 and quotes due November 25, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. local time. Local preference applies: quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County receive a 5% preference, and businesses in the Glades area receive an additional 5% Glades local preference. Both are used only for ranking and award determination. Small Business Development (SBD) provisions allow awards to certified small businesses within 10% of the lowest responsive and responsible quote on non-federally funded portions.
The scope covers welding gases and related accessories supplied to the county under a term contract, with pricing expected to remain firm through the initial and any subsequent terms. Goods must be new and free from defect, and unit prices remain firm for 90 days from quote submission. Quoters must be registered in the county's Vendor Self Service system, and subcontractors must be registered before contract finalization. Vendors must maintain current licenses and certifications, provide Drug-Free Workplace Certification, and comply with E-Verify requirements.
The package includes the Office of Small Business Development's instructions for Schedules 1-4, which govern SBE subcontractor disclosure for solicitations that carry an API goal. Schedules 1 and 2 must be submitted with the initial quote to be responsive, and both the prime and all subcontractors must sign them. Schedules 3, 3(a), and 4 are submitted during performance and payment processing.
Quotes go to the Procurement Department at 50 South Military Trail, Suite 110, West Palm Beach, FL 33415-3199. The county reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to acquire goods through State of Florida contracts when pricing is lower. Payment follows receipt, acceptance, and proper invoicing to the Finance Department.
