About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking to procure a Wearing Plate Set of 4, identified by solicitation number 2096882. The procurement is being conducted through a formal bidding process that requires vendor registration on the Bonfire platform to access detailed bid specifications. Vendors must submit their proposals by December 17, 2025, with a strict focus on meeting precise delivery timelines and specifications. The contract emphasizes FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs to be included in the overall pricing, and DART will not typically accept alternative shipping arrangements. Bidders must carefully adhere to the comprehensive purchase order terms and conditions, which outline detailed requirements for invoice submission, delivery expectations, and performance standards.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor types were explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. The solicitation appears open to qualified vendors capable of providing the specified Wearing Plate Set. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and requiring detailed documentation including purchase order number, item specifications, quantities, unit prices, and total extended costs. While no specific budget range or award value was disclosed, the procurement process includes provisions for potential default termination if vendor performance fails to meet DART's stringent delivery and quality requirements. The contract will be governed by Texas state law, with venue established in Dallas County, and includes provisions for tax-exempt status and compliance with commercial warranty standards and equal opportunity employment practices.
