About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Fort Worth District is requesting bids on Wavetronix SmartSensors and related accessories under IFB 601310000103009, with bids due September 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time and questions due August 21, 2026. This is a proprietary specification solicitation under Texas Government Code 2155.067, meaning only responses conforming exactly to the named specifications will be considered.
The scope comprises eight line items: four SmartSensor Advance Extended Range units (SS-200E) with 600-foot detection range and dynamic ETA tracking; twelve SmartSensor Matrix units (SS-225) with 16-beam 90-degree field of view extending 140 feet; sixteen SmartSensor Mounts (SS-611) with aluminum construction and 20-pound load capacity; sixteen 6-foot 12–8 pin cables (SS-704-006); sixteen Sensor Cable Junction Boxes (SS-710); sixteen field-replaceable surge protection cards (102-0562); four Arc6 cabinet interface devices (102-0594) supporting up to six sensors with Ethernet and SDLC connectivity; and one SmartSensor 6-conductor cable spool of 5,000 feet (SS-705-002). All sensors employ FMCW radar technology, operate on 10–28 VDC power, are manufactured in the United States, and carry a standard two-year limited warranty with extended options available.
Pricing must be firm, all-inclusive, fixed-price with F.O.B. destination, freight prepaid and included in unit prices. Delivery location is TxDOT Fort Worth District at 2501 Southwest Loop 820, with delivery required between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Award will be made to the lowest responsive bidder meeting all specifications. Tied bids will be resolved using TxDOT's preference criteria: Texas-produced supplies, USA-made equipment, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, environmentally sensitive materials, energy-efficient products, and recycled content items. Responses must be submitted through the Euna Procurement system at https://txdot.bonfirehub.com/ and include the Bid Table, Execution of Bid, Texas Family Code Schedule, and Addenda Acknowledgement sections. TxDOT's response to questions will be posted by August 25, 2026, with tentative award on September 15, 2026.
