About this opportunity
The North Fayette County Municipal Authority is soliciting bids for a comprehensive Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project through an online procurement platform called PennBID. The project encompasses three distinct contract opportunities: 2025-WTP-01 for General Construction, 2025-WTP-02 for Electrical Construction, and 2025-WTP-03 for HVAC Construction. Bidding documents are available exclusively through https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/, with prospective bidders strongly encouraged to register as plan holders to receive updates and addenda. The project scope includes substantial upgrades to the existing water treatment facility, involving new pumping systems, backwash tanks, chemical feed systems, buildings, electrical infrastructure, generators, and comprehensive site work. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 12th at 1:00 pm located at 1040 Eberly Way, Suite 151, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456. The final bid submission deadline is Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with all bids to be submitted electronically through the PennBID platform.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. Two supporting documents have been attached to the procurement notice: a 13MB file named "2-2025.08.20 Addendum 1.zip" and a 325MB file named "1-Project Documents.zip", which likely contain detailed technical specifications, bid requirements, and supplementary project information. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation, the extensive project scope and multiple contract segments suggest a substantial infrastructure investment. The project appears to be focused on modernizing and expanding existing water treatment infrastructure, potentially indicating significant capital investment. Prospective bidders will need to demonstrate technical competence in municipal water treatment facility construction, with specific expertise in general construction, electrical systems, and HVAC installations. Interested contractors should thoroughly review the comprehensive project documents available on the PennBID platform to understand the full scope of requirements and technical specifications.
