Update #3 · Latest ·

The City of New Braunfels City Council approved an Arts and Culture Master Plan in April 2026. Part of that plan included recommendation 2.7A (page 83 of the Master Plan) which directs the City to establish a City Mural Program by aligning with the Historic Outdoor Art Museums existing nine (9) murals located throughout Downtown New Braunfels. The City is seeking to obtain a current conditions analysis and maintenance plan for the existing murals. The Citys primary goal is to understand the current conditions of the murals and understand the potential cost implications for management and ongoing maintenance.

Update #2 ·

The City of Canyon, Texas, is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified engineering firms to provide engineering and consulting services for street improvements to North 15th Street. This project is the first phase of a multi-phase approach to improving pedestrian circulation and the streetscape in downtown Canyon. 15th Street is a Major Collector that serves as the gateway into Downtown from Hwy 60 and the Hunsley Hills Neighborhood. This project will construct new sidewalks, add bike lanes, and enhance the streetscape to provide a visual transition into the downtown area. It will also incorporate landscaping and lighting to ensure walkways are safe and shaded. Most importantly, this project will provide adequate bike/pedestrian access across the only walkable crossing over Hwy 60 in Canyon - an overpass that sees many pedestrians - a high priority for the City of Canyon.
