About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement for a WASHER, DAMPENING contract (Solicitation #2096952) located in Dallas County, Texas. The solicitation was posted on December 9, 2025, with proposals due by December 17, 2025. Vendors must complete registration through the Bonfire system to access detailed bid specifications and project information. The procurement involves the acquisition of specialized washers and dampening equipment, with strict delivery terms emphasizing that time and rate of deliveries are essential to the contract. DART requires all bids to include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs integrated into the overall price, explicitly rejecting FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Potential vendors must submit comprehensive invoices to APInvoices@dart.org, including detailed documentation such as purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Evaluation criteria appear to focus on vendors' ability to meet precise delivery schedules, technical specifications, and comprehensive documentation requirements.
The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must comply with several key requirements, including providing commercial warranty coverage matching the most favorable terms offered to any customer, certifying they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's terrorist-related company list, and verifying they do not boycott Israel. Payment terms are structured as Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt or order completion, whichever is later. DART reserves the right to terminate the contract for default if vendors fail to meet specified provisions, with the contracting officer able to make written changes that may require equitable price or delivery schedule adjustments. Sellers must assert any adjustment claims within 30 days of receiving change orders. While specific contract value or budget range is not disclosed in the available documentation, the procurement appears focused on precise technical equipment procurement for transit authority operations.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
