About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking procurement of a specific component: a 3/8" stainless steel strut lower washer, identified by item code 2097207. This procurement opportunity is located within Dallas County, Texas, and requires potential vendors to complete registration through the Bonfire platform to access complete bidding details. The solicitation mandates that all bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs incorporated into the overall pricing. Vendors must adhere to specific submission requirements, including providing triplicate invoices with detailed information such as purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The procurement process emphasizes strict delivery terms, noting that failure to meet specified delivery timelines could result in rejection and potential default termination by DART. Bidders must submit their proposals by December 19, 2025, which is simultaneously the posting and due date for this contract opportunity.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement includes comprehensive terms and conditions that vendors must satisfy. The contract requires vendors to provide commercial warranties ensuring merchantable quality and specification compliance, and vendors must certify they are not associated with foreign terrorist organizations. DART's payment terms are clearly defined as Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of either the invoice or the order, whichever is later. The Authority retains broad rights to terminate contracts for default or convenience and requires vendors to comply with equal employment opportunity standards. Though a specific contract value is not specified, the procurement appears to be for a specific industrial component, suggesting a potentially modest transactional value focused on supplying a precise stainless steel washer for DART's operational needs.
