About this opportunity

The City of Lansing, Michigan is requesting bids on resurfacing and repairs to Wainwright Tennis Courts, with proposals due September 9, 2026. The scope includes surface preparation, crack repair, and application of acrylic color coatings to multiple courts.

Surface preparation requires high-pressure power washing to remove debris, decayed paint, stains, and dirt; flooding to identify puddling; leveling of areas retaining 1/8 inch or more of water 45–60 minutes after heavy rainfall using Laykold Deep Patch mix; grinding of cracks and heaved spots to create a level surface; and floor sanding of the entire court surface. All structural cracks will be repaired using the Armor Crack Repair System, which includes a 2-year warranty.

The acrylic color coat system consists of one filler coat of Laykold Acrylic Resurfacer applied to the entire surface, followed by two coats of Laykold Color Coat Concentrate textured batch mixture. Materials will be mixed onsite with fresh potable water and allowed full curing time between applications. Textured white tennis lines will be applied to two courts in accordance with American Sports Builders Association specifications, and pickleball lines will be applied to each court. Color selection is at the client's discretion.

The scope of work document does not specify estimated contract value, contract term, budget allocation, set-aside or preference programs, evaluation criteria, pre-bid meeting dates, question submission deadlines, or current incumbent information. The procurement covers multiple City of Lansing jurisdictional codes, indicating multiple court locations within the city.
