About this opportunity
SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking to procure Midmark Exam Room equipment, accessories, and supplies through Vizient contract CE7483, utilizing New York State Finance Law section 163 (3) (vi) for direct procurement. The procurement allows for direct acquisition or equivalency submissions from vendors offering compatible exam room equipment. Interested vendors must demonstrate product equivalency by matching performance and compatibility with existing Midmark equipment. Vendors offering equivalent products must provide supporting documentation, software, transportation, set-up, removal, and equipment for examination and demonstration at no cost. The procurement covers locations at SUNY Upstate Medical University (750 East Adams Street, Syracuse) and Upstate University Hospital at Community General (4900 Broad Road, Syracuse). The contract's due date is May 28, 2025, at 9:30 AM, with a contract term extending through the expiration of the Vizient contract CE7483. Vendors must comply with NYS Finance Law 139 j&k (Lobbying Law) and are cautioned to contact only the designated procurement representative, Jim Robinson from the Hospital Purchasing Department.
The procurement does not include any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged businesses, with zero percent goals for minority-owned, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and disadvantaged businesses. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors were listed in the procurement documentation. Vendors must be prepared to submit comprehensive documentation, including Vendor Responsibility forms, NYS Public Officers Law compliance, NYS Finance Law 139 j&k documentation, New York State Tax Law Section 5-a compliance, and current NYS Workman's Compensation and Disability Forms. While no specific budget range was provided, the procurement is structured to leverage existing Vizient contract pricing and allows for competitive equivalent product submissions. The procurement is specifically focused on Onondaga County and involves medical equipment procurement for healthcare facilities, suggesting a potentially significant investment in examination room infrastructure and technology. Successful contractors will need to demonstrate technical compatibility, compliance with state regulations, and the ability to provide comprehensive support for the proposed equipment.
