Vizgen Merscope Ultra Platform

The State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University is seeking to procure the Merscope Ultra Platform from Vizgen Inc. through a sole-source, single-source contract. The Merscope Ultra Platform is a specialized scientific instrument used for advanced microscopy and single-cell analysis. SUNY Upstate has received an exemption from the New York State Comptroller's Office to advertise this procurement outside of the typical New York State Contract Reporter process. The contract term is for one year and the procurement will serve all New York State counties, with the primary location being SUNY Upstate's campus in Syracuse, Onondaga County.

This procurement is exempt from competitive bidding requirements due to the specialized nature of the equipment and Vizgen's status as the sole provider. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor is Vizgen Inc., and the procurement will require integration with existing infrastructure and technology at SUNY Upstate. The potential award value or budget range for this contract is not provided in the information given.
