About this opportunity

The State of Maine, Division of Purchases, is soliciting bids on a vibratory trench roller with bids due May 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time.

In cases of tie bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; quotes must exclude these taxes.

Bidders must submit quotes electronically and specify separate unit prices for each item with all transportation charges prepaid unless otherwise specified. Bidders must indicate cash discounts; however, discounts under 20 days will not be considered in award decisions. Bidders must confirm their organization's ability to accept a Maine State Procurement Card (check or decline on the submission form) — the State retains the right to select payment method from check, electronic funds transfer, or procurement card. The State prohibits surcharges on credit or debit card purchases under 9-A MRSA 8-303(2).

Supporting documents and literature may be faxed or mailed prior to bid opening. Award will be made on best value to the State, considering quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. The Division of Purchases reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive formalities, increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10%, and award to the lowest responsible bidder. The contractor must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, including the Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law requiring material safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals.
