About this opportunity

Collier County's Procurement Services Division has issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24-8309 for Veterinary Medications and Supplies on behalf of the Domestic Animal Services Division. The procurement seeks qualified vendors to provide veterinary medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, with bidders required to offer a fixed percentage discount off manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for listed manufacturers. Vendors must possess a certification of registration to the Florida State Board of Pharmacy and have a Pharmacist License on staff, with delivery requirements mandating standard orders be fulfilled within three business days and urgent orders within one business day. The bid will be delivered to 7610 Davis Boulevard, Naples, Florida, with electronic submissions required through the Collier County Procurement Services Division Online Bidding System. Bids are due on December 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM, and the contract term is intended to be three years with two potential one-year renewal options. The award will be based on the lowest total bid, with the county reserving the right to select one or more suppliers and award on a line-item basis.

The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, though it does include provisions for local vendor preferences for Collier or Lee County businesses. Vendors must complete mandatory forms including E-Verify enrollment, Florida Department of State corporate registration, and business tax receipts, with potential disqualification for incomplete documentation. The anticipated annual spending for this contract is approximately $200,000, though actual expenditures may fluctuate based on departmental needs. Vendors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage and comply with various local, state, and federal regulations. The results of this solicitation may be used by other County departments once awarded, providing potential expanded opportunity beyond the initial Domestic Animal Services scope. The county will not accept additional surcharges, and all delivery costs must be incorporated into the pricing structure, with defective or damaged items to be replaced by the vendor at no additional cost.
