About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure safety vests with specific technical specifications, identified by the reference number 2095058, for a procurement opportunity located in Dallas County, Texas. The specific item is a VEST, SAFETY - FM829 MESH (LIME) in Large size, with the procurement process managed through the Bonfire registration platform. Potential vendors must complete the "Prepare Your Submission" process to access detailed bidding information and project requirements. The procurement is subject to DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which mandate specific shipping terms of FOB Destination with freight costs included in the overall pricing. Critical delivery requirements emphasize that time and delivery rates are essential, with potential for rejection and default termination if seller fails to meet specified delivery parameters. The bid submission deadline is September 10, 2025, with the opportunity initially posted on September 7, 2025. Vendors must adhere to specific invoice submission guidelines, including sending triplicate invoices to APInvoices@dart.org and including detailed information such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
The procurement opportunity appears to be open to all qualified vendors, with no specific set-aside designations explicitly mentioned in the available documentation. DART's terms include several important legal and operational requirements, such as compliance with equal opportunity employment standards and certifications regarding foreign business relationships. Vendors must confirm they are not on lists of companies with contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and agree not to boycott Israel during the agreement's term. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of invoice or order. While no specific budget range or award value is directly stated for this safety vest procurement, the documentation suggests a standard competitive bidding process governed by Texas state law, with any potential legal disputes to be adjudicated in Dallas County. The procurement is structured to ensure comprehensive vendor compliance, detailed documentation, and adherence to DART's operational and legal standards for goods procurement.
